Choices

Choices ministers to women and families in the midst of an unexpected pregnancy.  The staff and trained volunteers provide free pregnancy testing, counseling, referrals, and spiritual support. Choice is always in need of volunteer counselors and supplies such as diapers, wipes, and baby food. For more information contact Cindy Lyons.

EMERGENCY CARE HELP ORGANIZATION (ECHO)

E.C.H.O. hopes to close the gap between crisis and self-sufficiency.  They provide food and clothing assistance to thousands of individuals and families in crisis each year but they also provide a variety of classes that help struggling families with employment, education, budgeting, and more.  ECHO has many options for volunteering and is always in need of donations. For more information contact Karen Stromquist via email.

Family Promise

Family Promise of Hillsborough County is a nonprofit organization that provides temporary housing and case management to area families experiencing homelessness. Temporary housing and meals are provided through partnership with area churches. At New Hope, we host families approximately one week a quarter. Hope For Her

Hope For Her provides information and support services to women in crisis. They help women in the areas of employment, education, housing, referral to services, and spiritual support and guidance.  Hope For Her is always in need of volunteers to provide support and education to the women they serve. For more information contact Dennis Hall.

MEALS ON WHEELS

MOW provides up to 100 meals each Friday to the homebound in our area.  Volunteers prepare and deliver meals.  Contact Mary or Doug Baker at 813-643-4493 about meal preparation assistance. Contact Barbara Brooks at (813)689-7016 about meal delivery.
