Read Acts 26

Scripture- Acts 26:24-25- Suddenly, Festus shouted, “Paul, you are insane. Too much study has made you crazy!” But Paul replied, “I am not insane, Most Excellent Festus. What I am saying is the sober truth."
Observations- Paul simply proclaimed what he had seen and heard as he came to faith in Christ, the One who was crucified and raised from the dead, and he was called crazy for it. This would be a comical scene if so much wasn't on the line, for Paul did long for them to receive Christ. Of course, the message of the cross and resurrection sounds ridiculous to many people, because it's an incredible claim to say the least. Perhaps Paul had this very encounter in mind when he said in 1 Corinthians 1:18, "The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God."
Application- Paul shared the "truth" of the Good News. Many people thought he was out of his mind, many people thought he was wrong, many people got angry with him, and God used him to begin fulfilling the point of the Book of Acts 1:8b: "And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” We get to carry the same message of objective, real truth to people who will have all kinds of reactions to us. Keep sharing. Keep trying. Put the responsibility on God by praying for Him to prompt you to have conversations with people about Your faith in Christ.
Prayer- Dear Lord, thank You for the audacity and clarity with which Paul offered Good News to people far from You. Help me like Paul seem insane to some people for putting my faith in Jesus Christ and direct me to people who may not yet know that what they are longing for can only be satisfied through a lifelong, living relationship with Jesus Christ. Amen.
"Jesus said to the people who believed in him, 'You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.'" (John 8:31-32),
