Read Acts 25

Scripture- Acts 25:12- Festus conferred with his advisers and then replied, “Very well! You have appealed to Caesar, and to Caesar you will go!”
Observations- As Paul has audiences with influential Roman leaders and has the privilege of proclaiming the gospel to them and those who hold him captive, he has clearly understood God's call for him was "to go to Rome" where he could stand before Caesar and proclaim to the people there not "Caesar is Lord," but "Jesus is Lord."
Application- Paul's boldness and bravery in the face of such opposition was designed to inspire the early church to never surrender in the face of persecution or struggles. The reality for Christ followers in every age is that if "Jesus is Lord," then no one else deserves such a title or role. Jesus alone occupies such a place of honor in our lives. Our challenge is to discover new ways along the journey of faith for the Lordship of Christ to come alive in our one and only lives.
Prayer- Jesus, thank You for saving me long ago and for allowing me the privilege of growing to understand how You are the Lord of my life, all of human history, and the entire universe. Help me see You more clearly, follow You more nearly, and love You more dearly day by day. Amen.
"Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stay true to the Lord. I love you and long to see you, dear friends, for you are my joy and the crown I receive for my work." (Philippians 4:1),
