Read Exodus 34

Scripture- Exodus 34:29- When Moses came down Mount Sinai carrying the two stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant, he wasn’t aware that his face had become radiant because he had spoken to the Lord.
Observations- There was something visibly and tangibly different about Moses after he had spend significant and quality time with the living God, Yahweh, the One who said "I Am Who I Am." Moses wasn't even aware of the radiance that glowed from him. We see this (and more) with Jesus when He was on the Mt. of Transfiguration with Peter, James, and John being visited by Moses and Elijah and they heard God say, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy. Listen to him.” (Matthew 17:5)
Application- This serves as a reminder that when we spend time with God it is designed to change us, to renew us, to be in the process of becoming the new creations God has already declared us to be for His glory. As Paul declares in 2 Corinthians 5:17, " This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!" We are now made new! He doesn't say "one day you will become a new person...today you are new. Our challenge is to let what what God has done on the inside shine on the outside.
Prayer- Lord, thank You for making me Your new person. Keep helping me become the person You already see me to be for Your glory, my long term benefit, and to serve and bless others. Let Your glory be made real in my life today, in Jesus' name and for His sake. Amen.
"I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us." (Philippians 3:14),
